The Productivity Institute, LLC
Since 1999, The Productivity Institute (PI) has been helping businesses become more productive by either providing expert consultants or through social media. It works closely with its clients to understand their requirements and goals and to develop effective strategies to help attain them.
PI currently offers several online courses including Verbal Branding and Social Media Policy and numerous services including reputation monitoring and Facebook and Adwords marketing. Verbal Branding replaces a one minute elevator pitch with a five second introduction that focuses on how you differentiate yourself from your competition. Every company needs a social media policy to help protect them from liability issues while also delineating to its employees and consultants the social media boundaries concerning what is permitted and what is not.
Article writing submissions for The Productivity Institute newsletter (circ. 10,000+) are available and PI encourages people to take advantage of its free webinars on a wide range of social media topics.

Survey
This online survey - scheduled for release in a few weeks - is designed to allow chamber members to provide feedback and business-related preferences to the chamber. If you are a chamber member, we strongly urge you to complete the survey as your input is extremely valuable to us. Once it becomes available, you will be provided with a link to the survey via an email from the chamber.
Survey results will be listed here on our new interactive site.
Committee News
Green? Sustainable? Environmentally friendly? LEED? NYSERDA? What does it all mean for a business? The Working Green Committee of the DC Regional Chamber of Commerce has a mission to help individuals and businesses navigate the confusing waters of “going green.” The Committee wants to be a resource to answer questions, foster ideas, spread success stories, inform and challenge anyone interested in these issues, and more.Launched in 2008, the committee is currently chaired by Charlie A. Freni, Senior VP of Customer Services, Central Hudson Gas & Electric Corp. His goal is to ensure that the committee is a resource to businesses seeking current information on solutions to become more sustainable. Vice Chair Judith Papo, President of HV Shred, has a special focus on recruiting committee members and project coordination. Both are incredibly well informed and committed to the cause of sustainability. Their vision is to help everyone live and work in a more sustainable manner, because even small, incremental changes add up over time and benefit everyone.
